
Self Storage Containers - Terms and Conditions
A. SELF STORAGE: -
Our 20ft standard containers can accommodate your domestic or business storage requirements with a flexible affordable contract, with access to your container anytime you want.
B. STORAGE USE: -
· DOMESTIC:- Moving / renovating / decluttering your home, furniture storage, household items, sports equipment, gardening equipment, etc.
· BUSINESS:- Extra storage for stock, de-cluttering office, plant and equipment etc.
C. STORAGE EXCEPTIONS: -
· Living items such as animals and plants
· Hazardous materials such as flammable liquids and explosives
· Items that can decompose such as feedstuffs
· Illegal items such as firearms and controlled substances
D. CONTAINER SIZE: -
· Dimensions (W x H x L) : 8ft (2.33m) x 8ft (2.33m) x 20ft (5.87m)
· Floor area : 160ft2 (13.68m²)
· Volume : 1280ft3 (36m3)
E. STORAGE LICENSE: -
A flexible storage license agreement is signed prior to moving into your container.
Either party can terminate the license by giving the other party not less than 1 months written notice , expiring at the end of a monthly period.
F. INSURANCE: -
The contents are not insured by the site owners whilst stored on our site. The site owners will not accept any liability for any loss, or damage to the stored goods how so ever caused.
Insurance of the stored goods is the sole responsibility of the STORER. If the stored items are valuable we recommend you purchase your own contents insurance. It is unlikely your home insurance will cover your contents in a storage container as your belongings are “offsite”.
G. PADLOCKS: -
The STORER is responsible for supplying their own high security padlock.
H. ACCESS: -
You can use your container anytime you want, though daylight hours are preferred.
I. COSTS: -
· 20ft x 8ft container - £20.00 + VAT per week (£24.00 INC VAT)
· Quarterly invoices payable in advance will be issued by email.
· BACS details for payment will be on the invoice.
J. EXTERNAL AREAS: -
No storage of items is permitted outside the container or on the roof. The front of the container is to be kept clean and tidy at all times.
K. FAILURE TO PAY: -
If the Licensee (STORER) fails to pay the License Fee within 14 days of the due date , the Licensee ( STORER) will be in breach of the Container License Agreement.
The Licensee will be given 7 days written notice to remedy the breach , which if not remedied , the Container License will terminate on the expiry of the notice.
If upon termination , the Licensee (STORER) has failed to remove all goods from the container , the Licensor will remove and change the padlock , with ownership of the
goods passing to the Licensor for him to dispose of in whatever manner he deems fit.
Any oustanding monies owed by the Licensee (STORER) , including any padlock removal and container contents disposal costs if applicable , will incur an interest rate of 5% per annum , with the debt being past to our debt collection services for recovery.
